Experience as independent lawyer and as inhouse counsel
For more than 15 years I have been working as an independent
commercial lawyer in a forensic and advisory capacity. For many years I was a partner in commercial law firms in Zurich and today I run the law firm Marion Morad. My focus is on issues of employment law,
contract law and distribution law (franchising, competition
law, etc.).
When resolving conflicts I focus on an efficient, and
therefore economical, quick and cost-saving approach. The achievement of this aim is supported by the mediation technique,
where the interests of the parties take center stage. (Mediation).
My many years of experience in the business
world and knowledge of a company’s internal perspectives and the economic
objectives of its management provide significant added value when advising
companies as an independent lawyer.
For many years I was Head of Legal Services and
Deputy Secretary General of the Swiss group of an international retails
organization (REWE, formerly Bon appétit Group, then the third largest retailer
in Switzerland). My focus here was on commercial law issues, franchising,
M&A and restructuring.
Prior to that I worked as a inhouse lawyer for
the largest Swiss retail group (MGB, Migros Group) in the field of labor law and industrial partnership, in which I aquired
extensive experience regarding large-scale projects (e.g. national collective employment
contract).
Lastly I took on the role of Head of Legal and
Compliance at the Swiss sales company of an international industrial group
(BSH Hausgeräte AG). Once again the legal topics I am concerned with are commercial
law issues. I am also Head of the Compliance Department, which deals
with antitrust law, anti-corruption, data protection and money laundering.
